The Cedar Rapids Public Library has an amazing downtown branch at 450 5th Avenue SE. In addition to book loans, the library has meeting room spaces and events. The new library location opened in 2013 after the previous building was damaged during the 2008 flood. Remember, the library is free!

Bever Park is a city park with a long history. The park was established in 1893, and it currently has a tennis court, playground, swimming pool, seasonal ice rink, and pavilion.
